Our First Kids Dental Day with the NC Courage

On July 24th 2026, we proudly partnered with the North Carolina Courage and a group of dedicated community organizations to host the inaugural Kids Dental Day at WakeMed Soccer Park. The event brought together 175 children from five Boys & Girls Clubs across the Triangle for a day focused on prevention, education, and fun, all designed to help kids build healthy oral health habits that can last a lifetime.

Smiles for Kids Spotlight: Wake County Public Health Dental Clinic

The Wake County Dental Clinic is our longest continuous Smiles for Kids grantee having received grant funding since the program's inception in 2011! Their Sealants for Healthy Smiles program provides dental sealants for uninsured and underinsured children from low-income households. Each year with their Smiles for Kids grant funding, they provide 200-300 sealants at no charge to children with a high risk of cavities in efforts to prevent more extensive and expensive restorative dental treatment in the future.

General Grant Spotlight: TROSA

Residents of TROSA's no-cost drug rehabilitation program have access to dental care as a part of treatment. With funding from the Delta Dental Foundation of North Carolina, residents are able to receive the comprehensive dental care that they need to focus on their recovery. As Jarrett from TROSA's program said, "Today, I'm in the least pain I've been in for a long time. And I have a nice smile! I've put in the work. TROSA gave me the platform to change my life."
